God is entirely sovereign. This means that all the bad things that happen to people are his doing. Just because we think something is Bad, that doesn’t make it evil. It is simply that we do not know what we are talking about, because we are not God. If we could understand the workings of God, He would not be God: He would be at our level.
(Read Lamentations 3:4-17…then verse 22-24)

“Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean, but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox.” (Proverbs 14:4)

Literally, if you want abundant crops, you need to daily shovel the crap that the ox produces. 

For men, if we want to be productive, we have to shovel all the crap that is our lot in life so that we progress.

God created us for this. Lets not be cowards and want the easy way out (ie someone else to do it for us).

I am no better than you. I was reminded again tonight that I am a dirty rotten sinner, capable of anything and I am in need of a saviour. God is angry at my sin.

Deep down I am a really bad person (Jeremiah 17:9). But…
Jesus Christ resisted temptation, took upon himself all of my sin, and he suffered, died and was punished for my sin, and all of the angry wrath of God was laid upon Jesus. Gods way of being unchanging and provide a way of salvation.
I’m so glad that Jesus takes my sin and God’s angry wrath, and gives me Gods righteousness and His unending love.
